Sevic & General Dentistry

Orthodontics gets put into a special box reserved for braces and retainers but our lab reaches into nearly every part of the dental world. For dentistry beyond ortho we do wonders with acrylic that tend impress. Most are offering their patients clear retainers so we go a step further and do minor tooth movement with excellent results. For patients only missing a few teeth, there are a few options; a traditional flipper with an acrylic palate, a clear retainer with pontics, or an Orthodontic Maryland Bridge. Implant guide stents, TMD devices, mouthguards, biteplates, bleach and fluoride trays, and many more are among our arsenal.

If you think we might be able to make something not listed here, give us a call and we would love to talk.

Dentures

We have a department dedicated to removables. From start to finish we make everything necessary for full dentures, partial dentures, immediates, repairs, and relines.

Pediatrics

With childrens dental needs being just a bit different from general adult needs we have condensed their laboratory needs into one page.

Repairs

We are well equipped to make repairs of all types. Whether it is a simple acrylic fracture repair or adding teeth while doing a reline on a denture there is little we cannot do.

However there are times where a repair is not possible or just ill advised and we would be happy to make a new one for you.

removable and temporary tooth replacement

Flipper

The classic temporary tooth replacement appliance designed to replace one or a few teeth. We use high quality denture teeth with an acrylic palate to make our flippers.

Essix Partial

The modern variation of a flipper using a clear retainer to hold the replacement teeth.

Essix

Orthodontic Maryland Bridge

This is an excellent long term temporary tooth restoration. Often used for adolescents with premature tooth loss or when there is an extended timeline for healing. We fabricate an acrylic tooth attached to a fixed lingual wire that gets bonded to the adjacent teeth, giving a natural look with minimal interference.

Acrylic Partial

Reserved for extreme temporary cases we can make a partial replacing multiple edentulous areas using hi-impact heat cure acrylic.

passive & active clear retainers

The classic 1mm retainer has outrun it’s original expectations, with new developments in materials they are no longer reserved for simple ‘clear’ retainers.

Aligner

Using a 1mm and doctors involvement we can achieve minor tooth movement. By moving single teeth 1/4mm at a time multiple aligners may be needed but results are remarkable. We only make one tray at a time to insure correct treatment and doctor involvement.

1mm

A simple alternative to the Hawley retainer. There are a few different materials each with their own advantage. Invisacryl “A” is the traditional clear retainer. Invisacryl “C” is a semiclear acrylic that is more flexible and better withstands clenching. Invisacryl “Ultra” is ultra clear and ultra durable for those that may be prone to grinding.

Whitening or Fluoride Trays

Made from a soft 1mm material and trimmed slightly past the gingival to allow space for whitening or fluoride gel.

Fixed Retainers

Bondable and semi permanent lingual retainers.

Using either a lightweight wire or a braided wire we can fabricate a straight bondable retainer or, if flossing is a concern, we can make a ‘flossable’ version that loops to the gingival of each tooth.

Anterior Disclusion Appliances

Anterior biteplate

Starting with the principles of a Hawley, a bite plate is added to act as an anterior occlusal stop. This opens the posterior and relieves pressure in the TMJ.

Kois

The Kois Deprogrammer is a maxillary appliance used to open and evaluate the patients bite using a single point of contact. Similar to a wrap-around Hawley there is a small bite plate added that only contacts the mandibular centrals.

Palatal Stent

An all acrylic plate designed for post surgery healing. Often times medicine is needed in the area and this plate helps to retain it in the desired area.

Implant Guide

To assist doctor in placing implants we make a splint covering the implant site and adjacent teeth. We survey every model to insure optimal angle and path of insertion. This is also crucial when multiple sites are needed to guarantee that they are all parallel.

Surgical Guide Splint

Using a construction bite we create an all acrylic splint designed to capture the interocclusal relationship of a patient. This appliance is then used by an oral surgeon to replicate the relationship.
